Get Involved

Join the fight – be a part of the Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer in 2010.

Fight back by contributing to an upcoming fundraising event organized by an individual, business or community – or plan something yourself! Launch a personal fundraising page or make a donation to a team. There are so many ways to join the fight. Take the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children living with cancer, and their families.

Join a fundraising event
Join an existing fundraising event and contribute to the activities that have already been planned.

Take part in events scheduled in your community
Many communities are joining the fight by planning local events to support Cops for Cancer. Get involved and bring friends and family to show how your community is fighting back for children with cancer.

Feeling ambitious and inspired – Plan a fundraising event
Why not take the initiative? Think barbecue, car wash, mini bicycling tour, or bake sale. You can donate proceeds of a birthday party instead of exchanging gifts or you can sell refreshments at local sporting events. If you don’t want to be a part of a planned event, you can set up your own online fundraising page. Pledge to shave your head if you reach your fundraising goal!

Get your school behind Cops for Cancer
Contact classmates over the summer to start planning or involve your school in the fall. Fundraising extends throughout September and October. Fight back by organizing a toonie day; or maybe something exciting like a head shave or crazy hair day. Ask your teacher to help you.

If you don’t have the time or resources to get personally involved, fight back with a courageous gift to Cops for Cancer. Donate
