With profound sadness, we share that a beloved rider from Tour de North who was recently involved in a hit-and-run in Prince George has passed away from his injuries. Shane’s passion for helping children with cancer and his unwavering team spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege to ride beside him. The family has asked for privacy as they grieve. We will honour them both by continuing the work they cared so deeply about and keeping them in our hearts as we ride.

Event Information

Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock 2025 is an exciting annual event where police agencies and emergency service personnel cycle for 14 days on Vancouver Island BC, raising money for childhood cancer research and support services at the Canadian Cancer Society.

From the very first ride , Tour de Rock has grown on the strength of dedicated volunteers and community partners from Port Alice to Victoria. We are excited to continue our mission for 2025!! Tour de Rock remains determined to continue supporting children and families living with and beyond cancer. Your ongoing support is vital as we continue towards making life better today and transforming the future of cancer forever. Why? Because nothing big gets solved by one person or one organization. To take on cancer, it takes every one of us. It takes a society. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Cops for Cancer are used to fund life-saving pediatric cancer research and caring support programs like Camp Goodtimes. Donate today to help us pedal our way to support children with a cancer diagnosis. It takes a society to take on cancer.
